Baldwin Wallace University observes Mental Health Awareness Month in April, as the official month is May, when we are not in class. As a part of my Studies in PR class, I was assigned to a team to work on the Mental Health Awareness campaign. We had a client meeting with Dr. Crain, Dean of Students, to discuss her goals, message, audience, and pose of the campaign. From there, the team worked to bring these goals and aspirations to life.
Increase mental health awareness and resource accessibility among college students through a comprehensive, destigmatizing campaign.

Target Baldwin Wallace students & staff
During BW's Mental Health Awareness Campaign, I embraced a critical supporting role as the secondary communications liaison, collaborating closely with our lead spokesperson to deliver consistent messaging and provide timely responses to campus stakeholders throughout the initiative. One of my most meaningful contributions was helping create and manage the "Gratitude Wall," an interactive installation where participants shared messages of hope, support, and personal growth stories. This feature not only helped destigmatize mental health conversations but significantly enhanced community engagement across campus.
Behind the scenes, I handled various digital responsibilities that ensured our campaign's seamless operation. From coordinating the digital resource hub to managing our social media content calendar and troubleshooting technical aspects of our virtual events, my attention to digital details allowed our team to focus on creating meaningful mental health programming. I also managed to create a QR code that matched our branding for mental health awareness. By managing these multifaceted responsibilities, I helped ensure our Mental Health Awareness Campaign successfully reached its engagement goals while establishing a sustainable framework for future mental wellness initiatives at Baldwin Wallace University.
