Focus: Community Engagement & Resident Life
As a Marketing and Communications Intern for The McGregor Foundation, my primary objective was to humanize the organization's digital presence and highlight the vibrant daily lives of its residents. I was tasked with bridging the gap between the facility and the broader community, crafting a visual narrative that prioritized connection, empathy, and resident well-being.
To achieve this, I developed and executed a targeted content strategy centered around national holidays, awareness campaigns, and community milestones. By designing thoughtful, accessible graphics for occasions ranging from solemn remembrances like 9/11 to community-focused events like Friendship Day, I created consistent touchpoints that translated the facility's core values into engaging social media content.
Ultimately, these campaigns served a vital dual purpose: showcasing the enriching, active environment available at McGregor, while providing a meaningful digital window for families to stay connected to the daily experiences and care of their loved ones.
A collection of social media assets designed to celebrate major family milestones and promote resident wellness. These graphics go beyond simple holiday greetings by pairing warm, approachable illustrations with educational hooks—such as linking National Book Lovers Day to seniors' cognitive health—to provide valuable, engaging content for families and caregivers.
Transforming trending micro-holidays into highly relevant, educational touchpoints. By leveraging niche social media trends like 'National Coffee Day' or 'Make Your Bed Day,' I designed informative graphics that addressed specific aspects of senior care. This strategy turned lighthearted internet trends into opportunities to educate the community on the importance of daily routines and dietary wellness in aging adults.
